We do so many things in an effort to live the best of life. But most are the times when we get the opposite of what we expect. Why? Could it be that our efforts are employed without knowledge? Or is it just normal for things to go the wrong way? Need an answer? Read on please and get it.
Everything has a source and has a purpose for which its made. Life is no exceptional. This being the case, where did life come from and what is its purpose? Life is about doing things. And doing is about an effort to achieve or acquire something. This of a necessity requires knowledge. This message is primarily for those who believe that they are creatures, and so, are a work of some creator. Am here talking about “ the Lord God who created the heavens, the Earth, the seas and all that therein is-Nehemiah.9:6”. So, what does He say about us and the purpose of creating us? Hear please if you have ears to hear. “ And God said, let us make man in our image, and in our likeness…..for what purpose? That they may have dominion over all creatures upon the earth-Gen.1:26”. So we are here for the sole purpose of, first, to be made like God himself, so that after we be like him, secondly, we may rule upon the earth.
What does this mean my friends? If there be any reason for doing anything in the name of life, it must be geared at achieving that goal,i.e, “ putting on the new nature created after God’s likeness in true righteousness and holiness-Eph.4:24; Lev.19:2”. Why a new nature? If God created us, didn’t He givesus His nature? Why the need to put on a new nature? In this physical life, we are in God’s image, but not in His likeness. Even though He wants us to be fully like Him, He has a process through which He will achieve that. God is spirit-John.4:24, but we are physical-Gen.2:7. God is eternal, but we are short-lived-Job.14:2-3. He is perfect but we are imperfect, etc.
Therefore know and understand that this physical life is the first stage, in God’s creation process for mankind ( our message, “Man’s creation process”, has details pls)- ! Cor.15:46. Also, in the same way that God created us physically, it is Him who will create us in the second stage, which is spiritual-1 Cor.15:49. How will He do it?
OUR CHOICE
We cant be fully like God if we are forced to. So God has made this physical life, as a free time for man to choose whether he wants to be like Him, and after making the choice, to use the life in developing the Character of his choice-Eph.4:24. If you remember ,we somewhere wondered why the new nature; why God didn’t create us with it in the first go. It is because, we must choose it before God develops it in us. Know and understand that, in this physical life, we were created neither holy, nor evil, but rather, were to begin acquiring the knowledge by which we will develop our character once we make our choices-Gen.2:16-17; Deut.30:15-17. God’s knowledge about His life is what He explains in His word, for, “ it is life to those who hold it fast-Prov.4:22; John.6:63”. From this word, God tells us that our physical bodies are created in that nature“which can’t obey His word, a nature which is packed with deceitful desires which are also corrupt-Rom.8:7; Eph.4:22.; Gal.5:17.
So, by obeying God’s word (his law), we disobey and reject the flesh and its desires-Gal.5:17. Remember that, this message is about what fills your mind and heart, which is what makes what you do every day, for, “ out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks-Mat.12:34-35”. Seeing that it is God who is creating us in this second stage in the same way He created the physical, are your thoughts and heart’s desires, which are displayed in your everyday life (your deeds and words), learned from God’s word? If not, then you are out of course and purpose. We will all agree that, apart from God’s life, there is no other life, for, in the beginning was the word……All things were created by him; and without him nothing was there……In him is life, and the light (knowledge) of man-John.1:1-4. We are therefore saying that, there is no one in the heavens above, on the earth below, or in the seas beneath, who can either explain or sustain life except God and him alone-Isa.43:10. This only God, teaches His only life through the word of scriptures, for the word (Christ) is our life-Col.3:4; John.6:63; 1 pet.1:25. What are we driving at my fellow human beings?
LIFE OR DEATH
As we saw, your advancement in life depends on the choice you make about who will teach you the knowledge, which you will apply to live, I mean, to think, desire, do and talk the way you do. Having proven beyond reasonable doubt that there is only one source of life which is, the creator God, and that the only source of His knowledge on how to live that life is the written scriptures, Lets come back to ourselves now. Just as it was with Adam at Creation-Gen.2:16-17; 3:4-6, so it is with all of us at birth. There is a way every one of us is conducting him/herself. And this way is a prove of the choice you made as a free moral agent. We have so many who claim to have chosen God’s way of life. Is the scriptures your knowledge, your wisdom and understanding-Deut.4:6?. Yes; are your thoughts, desires, deeds and talks all from the scriptures? If not, then know for sure that you are not living the godly life, for, if you reject the word of God, what wisdom have you? Have you not become a fool, imagining to be wise-Jerem.8:9; Rom.1:22; Isa.8:20?
The fruits of applying God’s word ( the only true knowledge) are in all goodness, righteousness and truth-Eph.5:9. Applying the word of God as your knowledge brings, peace,revives the souls, makes one wise, rejoices the heart, lights your ways, and leads to eternal life-Psalm.19:7-9. Friends, is this what you are experiencing in your everyday life? If not, then the word is not your knowledge, for God who strictly speaks through his word cannot lie-Titus.1:2; Psalm.119:151. Those who have chosen God’s way have stopped doing anything according to what one may think-Prov.3:5, and have restricted themselves to the word alone-Psalm.119:9,105. Why? Before we give the answer please, let every reader make a difference between having the knowledge, and applying it in one’s doing, for, unapplied knowledge is useless.It is the doers of the knowledge who count-James.1:22. With that clear understanding, lets now hear why one should restrict themselves to God’s word and not to their own thoughts. So many have claimed to have been talked to by the spirit, others by Christ, but are forgetting this one important thing; that, the heart of a man is deceitful and exceedingly corrupt, and that, only God can reveal it-Jerem.17:9-10. So, before any one talks of being talked to by Christ, or the spirit, confirm with God please. How do we do it? By applying His word, for, he who says I know him, but disobeys His commandments( word) is a liar( lead by the deceitful heart)– 1 John.2:3-5. The word of God, which is Christ-Rev.19:14, is the life of, not just man alone, but all living things, for, in Him, all things were created, in heaven above and on earth, visible and invisible-Col.1:16; Heb.1:3. So, whoever wants to live life, will live the word and by so doing, he/she will develop the godly righteous and holy character. If Christ, the only teacher of God’s life says that we are not complete, that we are being made-Eph.2:10, and so we are helpless apart from God’s sustenance, who then is this that says differently, deceiving men to imagine things, instead of consulting with their maker? We are exactly what He says, branches in a stem-John.15:4-5, which apart from the stem cannot survive, and this is why we should restrict ourselves to God in His word. And this because we are yet to be complete and to have life in ourselves in the same way God and Christ have it in themselves-John.5:25-27,thus becoming independent.
If this be the case, why then don’t we see men busy, searching the scriptures to know how to live? Because they were deceived and swayed from the course-compare Gen.2:16-17, with Gen.3:4-6. The today’s civilization is build on that lie of Eden. Man accepted the lie that he is like God, very complete, and so he is able to live independently. Nebucadnezar an example of the today’s generation said; “Is not this great Babylon which I have build by my own mighty power……for my majesty-Dan.4:30? See also Dan.3:15. Now, because man’s mind can only acquire knowledge from without, and here is the first man, assuming the status of God, he went ahead and begun to imagine things, and so, imagining to be wise, the today’s generation is foolish-Rom.1:22. This is why the today’s leaders of the nations are each struggling with the citizens in a very chaotic atmosphere. Then they converge at the united nation’s headquarters to discuss peace when back home, there is no peace at all. Will they succeed? The way of peace, they don’t know. They grope for the war like the blind, they grope like those who have no eyes-Isa.59:8-10. Why? If they have rejected the word of the Lord (the only life-instruction there is-Phili.2:16), then, what wisdom have they-Jerm.8:9?
Every practice, every effort, every plan by man gives results which prove beyond reasonable doubt that man doesn’t know himself, and neither does he know the life he is supposed to leave. From family level to international quarters, it is fire every where. This is enough evidence that the present world with its education systems is deceived.
DO YOU BELIEVE THIS?
This message is for you if you truly and sincerely believe. In this physical life, you are dust; like grass; perishable and short-lived; like mist-Gen.3:19; Isa.40:6; Job.14:1-2; James. 4:14. You are fully dependent on God for everything_Job.12:10; 34:14-15. You are still in your creation process and very much in the hands of your creator, and so, you cant work yourself out, for unless the Lord will build you, and watch over you, your efforts will be in vain-Psalm.127:1.
What should we do then? Forsake all what you have known about yourself, and begin afresh, becoming like a small child-Mat.18:2; Mark.i:14-15. After having done this, turn to God your creator for He says, I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, and who leads you in the way you should go-Isa.48:17.Know and understand that the only voice of God on this earth is His written word, which is His manual for you on how you should live to find peace for your souls-Mat.11:28-29. Study the bible prayerfully that you may acquire knowledge, for, by the word of God, you will successfully guard your life-Psalm.119:9-10.
Friends and fellow humans beings, know and understand that this written word is your life-col.3:4;Prov.3:1-3,18. We are what it says. This is our life. Want peace, blessings and at the end, eternal life?Keep the commandments-Mat.19:17-19.
