Greetings to all. The God who created the heavens and the Earth, the Seas and all that is in them, the God of Abraham, Isaac, And Jacob; the God of all the prophets and the apostles from whom the today’s church of God descends, had a purpose for creating human beings which up to now stands. And this is as we all know, to make all human beings into spirit beings that they may be part of his spiritual family, ruling not only the Earth but the entire universe, for He says,”…..thou crownest him with glory, putting everything in subjection under his feet-heb.2:7-8”.But as we know, for man to reach this point, he has to become a spirit being first which began by the physical body, after which, the second step is to develop God’s mind and character, and this is where we are as a church now. We know that, man never continued with God’s plan because he was deceived out of it and so he remained physical, dealing only on the physical level(you can request for our message, “WHAT IS MAN “for details please).
The church of God is a people whom God in Jesus Christ has called from this deception and has begun the second stage of creation which is to develop their minds to be like His and their character to Be like His(righteousness).
This development does not depend on the physical as many tend to think. After the deception,men began to do everything according to the physical because that is all they can understand.Today,when people, even church members talk of God’s blessings, they think of great wealth, exalted positions in societies, physical health and the like. But when Christ began to teach those who believed, the first thing He began to unlearn from people’s thinking is the dependence on the physical which amounts to idolatry. He began by ourselves, saying, “If anyone wants to follow me, let him deny himself-Mat.16:24”. After that He went ahead and began to undo the notion that life depends on material possession when He said, “therefore, do not be anxious saying, what shall we eat, drink or wear; this is the mind of the gentiles (the deceived)-Mat.6:32”. But why not? Is not life perpetuated (sustained) by these things? Jesus continued to clarify the point saying,” …for the life of a man does not depend on the abundance of his possession-Luke.12:15”. Now that brethren, we have removed ourselves, and the things around us, what do we remain with and how do we go about the training? Whatever is uppermost in God’s mind is to make man like himself for the sake of inheriting and ruling in his kingdom, and this is what Christ said we should be striving for. Listen to him please. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and these other things will follow-Mat.6:33”.
So now, how? This is where the mystery lies and what God’s greatest concern is about right now.
The mind and character of the life which God in Jesus Christ is teaching the Church is one which the human mind can’t comprehend. We know that the human mind understands by seeing, hearing, touching, smelling, and feeling (the five senses). But the life which God is training the Church into, of,” The world to come which we preach about-Heb.2:5”, is one which the five senses can’t understand, for,”….eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived, what God has prepared for those who love him-1Cor.2:9”. So,how do we understand so that we can practice?
God knew this very well and this is where the work of the holy spirit comes which is actually a sixth sense, for our Lord says, “That which we can’t understand, God has revealed to us through the spirit(not through great wealth or elevated class in the physical),……that we may understand the gifts of god-1Cor.2:10-12”.
A STRANGE APPROACH
Brethren, it is very saddening to see the kind of preaching in an effort to draw people to Christ, which a great majority of the Church preachers, and especially those of the international quarters are Applying today, and this is what concerns God greatly. This I speak as one of those whom God has send to preach, and you can confirm it by the word if you can please. We all know that, it is Christ who chooses people, who are drawn to him by God Himself, for He says, “you did not choose me but I chose you-john.15:16”. And where does the choosing begin? He continues to explain saying, “No one can come to me except the father who sent me draws him-John.6:44”. This means, no human effort or carefulness, apart from God’s directives through His word which can make anyone to believe and become a Church member. God alone by His spirit (as we have seen)can give someone to understand. Of those whom God is calling, Christ says, “My sheep knows my voice-John.6:27”.
Now we all know that the voice of Christ is the written word of God. This is why He said that, if we want to know his sent-servants, it is by the word (scriptures) for, “He whom God has send speaks the word of God-John.3:34”. Now,after speaking the word of God, His servants don’t go ahead and start to persuade people to believe, for they believe what Their master told them, that, “He who is of God(being drawn by Him)hears the word of God-John.8:47”. Brethren,the work of preaching the gospel is that simple; speaking the truth as you personally live by it, then waiting to see whom God is drawing to Christ-the church.
Sad to say, a great majority of those who purport to preach the gospel are right now employing a very different approach which has totally buried the gospel of Christ into a garbage of hypocrisy. In an effort to get followers, our international brethren have approached the gospel work in Africa, and especially in Kenya, not by the voice of Christ, but by material wealth. On the other hand, the local preachers, in the same effort to have people amassed around them, have kept the gospel aside, or watered it down, and began to preach what people want to hear.
So, these international preachers, have networked with these local ones and what they have come up with as the Church of God is the like of orphanages where physically helpless people get assistance as they pledge loyalty to those assisting them. It is exactly the same work the charitable organizations are doing. It’s not something new because, in Jesus’ time, it happened, but Christ never kept quiet but pointed it out, telling them, “you do not follow me because you have believed but because you have eaten to your measure-john.6:27”.
If you international brethren want to prove what God is addressing here, it’s important that you go into a prayerful research, because I know, each group out there has a representation here in Africa. What am giving here are only hints. What you normally get from the majority of those who represent you here are comments of how your preaching is good and is attracting so many people. But have you ever heard someone going into details of what is good about the message? Immediately after that comment, what you get next, is someone telling you how the interested groups are requesting for bibles and a visit. From there, more requests follow; orphans, widows, hunger stricken individuals, the displaced by clashes and so on. All these, things of the flesh which can’t help someone to understand spiritual things.
The truth about these people you have got as followers is that, a great majority not only don’t know about the gospel, but they even don’t have any desire for God’s life. And these are the people you waste God’s tithe on. Am not blaming you because, being very far away, you do not know what happens here.Am only conveying to you, what God has impressed on me, which is his concern, to bring the mystery to your knowledge so that you may stop being used unawares to misrepresent the Church of God and His gospel in the region by liaising with deceivers because of whom,”. The way of truth is reviled. And in their greed, they are exploiting you-2Pet.2:2-3”. Mark this please lest you mistake me. I am not trying to win you to myself. I have been won by Christ, and so, as His, “servant and a steward of God’s mysteries-1Cor.4:1”,I have to place the truth on the table. It is for you to judge what am saying and not “by appearances but by right judgement-john.7:24”.
This practice is fighting the preaching of the gospel here. But I thank god because as it is, those who are his are still hearing his voice and pulling out this deception. Not knowing what you’re dealing with and insisting, for example that I follow your instructions, you send me to such people. When I go preaching to them, because what drew them to you is not the gospel, when I preach to them, they are all asleep. Immediately the preaching is over, they know that the next step is to get what the white man has send in terms of funds. So everyone is awake and alert. If I happen not to have brought any funds with me, the first thought is, “he has spent our money”.
Now see it please. You are forcing me to fellowship with non-believers in order to please you. Should I do that while I reject Christ? Are you not fighting Christ and the gospel head on? I don’t mean you have done that to me but only setting an example of what you do when you sent someone to a people you assume they are for the truth.
This has all happened because we never followed Christ order of doing His work. Had we done it, we will not be burying the gospel. But it is not late. This is why God in Christ Jesus is bringing this to your attention that you may amend your ways. Christ’s order is,” first the kingdom and God’s life(his righteousness),and after that, those who believe are also assisted physically incase of need(James.2:15-16)-Mat.6:33”. This is how we ought to approach God’s work. Your approach has attracted carnal people, ”whose god is their belly, glorying in shame; whose minds are set on earthly things-Phil.3:19”. Brethren,because of this, we who are preaching the kingdom of god and His righteousness are getting a very hard time convincing these people that, “the kingdom of God is not about eating and drinking but about peace and joy in the holy spirit-rom.14:17”.If you brethren are truly after Spreading the true gospel, then know and understand that God has also risen His servants in this region of the world,whom,if you are truly being led by the holy spirit, you can identify as we have seen-see john3:34;8:47.read again please. These are the pillars you should depend on in doing the work here.We, the African brethren know our fellow Africans better than you in the same way you know your fellow men better than us. This is why God has made sure to have his chosen also in this area so that you can liaise with them for a spiritual co-ordination of His work. Remember, God shows know partiality. He can make anyone to serve in any capacity He(God) wills.
This is God’s great concern and He has hereby placed it on the table for you. I thank him because of His great love which He has on us. A good reason why He has placed this alert before whoever trembles before His word. I am speaking all this from God our father, and in Jesus our Lord to His servants. Are you one of them? Then heed please. Lastly, remember that the tithes which you are spending are not your tithes so as for you to use them as you wish. Our God says, “For the tithe which the people present to God (from that point, they are God’s not yours) ,I (God not you) have given to the Levites(his servants)-Num.18:24”. Now,it’s up to everyone to establish who the true and chosen servant of God is and take his/her tithe there. If you get careless and give wherever you may choose, then, it’s you and God; we can’t get into that. After you have established where to pay your tithes, where God has placed his dwelling (his temple-see 1 cor.3:19), then your work ends there. You have no part supervising how it is spend, for our Lord says, “But no accounting should be asked them for the money which is delivered to their hands, for they deal honestly-2kings.22:7”.
Let as many as are given to understand this voice take the admonition seriously and amend their ways. Let’s submit fully to god will and allow him to lead us where he will. Let’s also allow him to do his work in us according to the purpose of his will. Let’s deny self and allow him to show the world through us, the difference between His life and that of this world. May the grace of God abide with the Israel of God.
